If you haven’t heard by now, and I’m pretty sure you have, there is a new E-Rate version 2.0 going into effect starting Fall 2015. There are lots of big changes coming compared to previous years. Some of the areas changing are: Telephone service is not included in the plan. VoIP service is not included in the plan. Web / email is not included in the plan. Broadband connection is the number one priority. Wi-Fi enabled infrastructures are second priority. These can include both purchased and Wi-Fi as a Service.
