Windows 11 Upgrades For Your Organization

As you may be aware, the end of life for Windows 10 is October 14, 2025, and many businesses are looking to upgrade their systems to the latest Windows 11 operating system. Our team has recently held a discussion to determine the best approach for handling these upgrades, and we wanted to share the key points with you.

Upgrade Approach:

  • For machines that meet our recommended hardware specifications, we can perform the Windows 11 upgrade for a fee. This will ensure a smooth and reliable transition to the new operating system. Our team can discuss the exact cost if you’d like to give us a call or send us an email.
  • For machines that may not be compatible or are nearing their end of life, we recommend considering a replacement rather than an upgrade. Our team can work with you to assess your fleet and provide recommendations on the best path forward.
  • In some cases, we may allow technically capable clients to perform the upgrade themselves using a provided Windows 11 installer. However, please note that any issues that arise during the self-upgrade process that OXEN helps with will be billed as a billable service.

Timing and Availability:

  • The best window for PC replacements will be before September, as new hardware becomes available in January and the end of life for Windows 10 approaches in October.
  • We anticipate a potential crunch for PC replacements as we approach the deadline, so we encourage you to start planning your upgrades or replacements immediately as this will assure hardware is available and OXEN engineers are available to assist you with the replacement.

We understand that these changes may have an impact on your IT budget and planning. Our team is here to work with you to ensure a smooth transition and to provide guidance on the best course of action for your organization. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We’re committed to supporting you throughout this process and ensuring a successful migration to Windows 11.

It’s great that you’re encouraging businesses to plan ahead for the Windows 11 upgrade. Do you think this transition presents an opportunity for organizations to evaluate their broader IT infrastructure and identify areas for modernization? It feels like the perfect time to align hardware upgrades with strategic IT goals.
