Managed Patching

Secure Your Systems. Empower Your Team. Zero Interruptions.

Patched systems, on your schedule, without disrupting your workday.

Unpatched software is the number one target for cybercriminals. But keeping up with endless updates for every device, application, and operating system is a full-time job that drains your IT resources and frustrates your staff. It’s time to take patching off your plate.

We don't just push updates and hope for the best. We deliver a white-glove patching experience designed around your business needs.

1
Best Practices, Built-In

We follow strict, established industry standards for patching cadence, testing, and sequencing. Your systems stay current the right way, ensuring stability isn't sacrificed for security.

2
Zero Daytime Disruptions

You choose when patches install. We configure your custom maintenance windows during onboarding. Your team starts each day on current, secure software—without mid-day reboots killing their momentum.

3
Problems Get Fixed, Not Just Flagged
Automation is great, but human expertise is essential. When a patch fails, we don't just send you an annoying alert. Our engineers investigate and remediate the issue immediately. The best part? Troubleshooting and remediation labor is included in your agreement. No surprise invoices for fixing what broke during a patch cycle.

What’s Included in Managed Patching?

Comprehensive Coverage for Every Endpoint

Hackers don't just target Windows; they look for any open door. Our service covers your entire software ecosystem.

Microsoft Patch Management
New updates for Microsoft products are automatically detected, tested, and installed on a defined schedule. Your infrastructure stays current with the latest security fixes and feature enhancements without anyone on your internal team lifting a finger.
Third-Party Application Patching
Browsers, PDF readers, and daily productivity tools need updates just as often as your OS. OXEN actively patches a maintained list of critical third-party applications on the same schedule as your Microsoft patches, slamming shut the backdoors that manual processes routinely miss.
Customer-Defined Maintenance Windows

Your business hours are your most valuable asset. During onboarding, we work with you to establish a patching window that fits your specific operational schedule. Updates install and systems reboot when you are off the clock.

Automated Alerting & Engineer Follow-Up
If a patch fails or a maintenance routine encounters a hiccup, our system immediately generates an alert, dispatching an OXEN engineer to investigate. We catch and resolve backend issues before they ever become front-end problems for your staff.
Detailed Monthly Reporting
Stay informed with automated reports detailing data usage, web activity, VPN usage, and security detections every month (or daily upon request).

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Managed Patching cover?

Automated patching for Microsoft products and a maintained list of commonly used third-party applications. Updates are detected, installed, and verified on a recurring schedule. If a patch fails, an OXEN engineer investigates and remediates it.

What third-party applications are included?

OXEN patches a maintained list of commonly used applications, including browsers, productivity tools, and other widely deployed software. The full application list is available upon request.

When do patches actually get installed?

During onboarding, we work with you to define a maintenance window that fits your schedule. Patches install during that window, and systems reboot on your timeline - not in the middle of peak business hours.

How is this priced?

Managed Patching is priced per endpoint, per month. It covers both Microsoft and third-party patching, automated alerting, and engineer follow-up on failures.

What happens if a patch causes a problem?

Troubleshooting and remediation labor is included in the agreement. If a patch fails or causes an issue, OXEN investigates and resolves it at no additional charge.

What if our systems are behind before we start?

During onboarding, we assess the current patch state of your endpoints and bring them up to current levels. Depending on how far behind they are, this may take a few cycles to fully stabilize.

Does this include servers, or just workstations?

The scope depends on how your agreement is configured. Talk to OXEN during the scoping conversation about your full environment - servers and workstations each have their own considerations.
