Managed Server Business Protection Services (BPS)

Layered Security for the Infrastructure That Runs Your Business

Your servers are the beating heart of your operations. If they go down or suffer a breach, your business grinds to a halt. In today’s threat landscape, basic antivirus and a "set-it-and-forget-it" mentality are no longer enough to keep your data safe.

You need a unified, proactive defense system. OXEN Technology’s Managed Server Business Protection Services (BPS) surrounds your critical infrastructure with enterprise-grade, layered security—simplifying your IT so you can focus on growing your business with total peace of mind.

What’s Included: A Fortress for Your Data

We don’t just monitor your servers; we actively defend them. Our BPS package combines cutting-edge technology with human expertise to stop threats before they impact your bottom line.
1
Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) with Attack Surface Reduction
Traditional security looks for known bad files; our EDR looks for bad behavior. Installed directly on every managed server, our software uses behavioral analysis to detect anomalies in real time. We deploy strict attack surface reduction rules to block common exploit techniques at the source—shutting doors before threats even have a chance to execute. If malicious activity is detected, our SOC immediately locks it down and investigates.
2
Cloud-Native SIEM (Security Information & Event Management)
Threats often hide in the noise. By feeding data from your servers, Microsoft 365 environment, edge firewalls, and email into a centralized, cloud-native SIEM, we connect the dots. Our analysts can see correlated activity across your entire IT environment, instantly catching complex attack patterns that are virtually invisible when data sources are reviewed in isolation.
3
DNS Filtering & Network Protection
We cut off the bad guys at the perimeter. Malicious domains are automatically blocked at the DNS level. Furthermore, our network protection actively monitors all outbound server traffic to prevent connections to known-bad infrastructure. This stops command-and-control callbacks and neutralizes data exfiltration attempts before your sensitive information can leave the building.
4
Email Security & Anti-Spam
The most common way attackers bypass server defenses is by tricking your team. All inbound email is heavily filtered to catch phishing attempts, malware payloads, and impersonation attacks. For Microsoft 365 environments, we layer on advanced anti-spam filtering directly at the mailbox level to catch the stealthy threats that bypass standard gateway filters.
5
Cloud Identity Monitoring, MFA, & Vulnerability Correlation
Compromised credentials are a hacker’s master key. We continuously monitor both user and admin accounts for suspicious login behaviors and enforce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) through Microsoft 365 Security Defaults. But we don’t stop there: our vulnerability correlation scans for known security weaknesses and maps them directly to active detections. Instead of handing you a raw, overwhelming list of CVEs, we give you clear, actionable priorities for remediation.

The OXEN Advantage: Strong, Trusted, Simple

We know that true cybersecurity isn't just about buying software, it's about how those tools are managed. Here are why businesses trust OXEN Technology to protect their server infrastructure:
Every Layer, One Team
Security shouldn't operate in silos. With OXEN, your EDR, SIEM, DNS filtering, network protection, email security, identity monitoring, and server monitoring are entirely managed by one cohesive team. When an attacker targets your server infrastructure, every layer of our defense works in total coordination to stop them.
24/7/365 SOC with 30-Minute Critical Response
Hackers don’t work standard business hours, and neither do we. OXEN’s Security Operations Center (SOC) monitors all alert priorities around the clock. When a critical threat arises, our experts are investigating within 30 minutes. High-priority incidents are addressed within one hour. We never sleep, so you can.
Vulnerability-Driven Prioritization
Most security tools drown you in data and leave you to figure out what matters. Our vulnerability correlation maps actual findings to active threats specifically targeting your servers. We show you exactly which weaknesses are most likely to be exploited in your unique environment, ensuring your remediation efforts go exactly where the risk is highest.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Managed Server BPS include?

EDR with attack surface reduction, a cloud-native SIEM, DNS filtering, network protection, email security, anti-spam filtering, cloud identity monitoring, MFA enforcement via Microsoft 365 Security Defaults, vulnerability correlation, CPU and memory utilization monitoring, disk utilization and health monitoring, critical services monitoring, system up/down monitoring, and automated patching. All backed by 24/7/365 SOC monitoring.

What does OXEN monitor vs. what are we responsible for?

OXEN monitors server endpoints, email, DNS activity, network traffic, cloud identity, SIEM alerts, vulnerability findings, critical Windows services, CPU and memory utilization, disk utilization and health, and system connectivity. Your team provides server access for agent deployment, Microsoft 365 admin access, DNS access for anti-spam configuration, and cooperation during incident response.

How quickly does OXEN respond to a security incident?

Critical: 30 minutes. High: one hour. Security services run 24/7/365 with no business-hours limitations on any alert priority.

How is BPS different from Detect and Respond (D&R) for servers?

BPS uses a Microsoft-native security stack with a cloud-native SIEM. It adds DNS filtering, network protection, attack surface reduction rules, and vulnerability correlation that D&R doesn't include. D&R uses a different EDR platform and focuses on endpoint detection, email security, and identity monitoring. BPS provides more security layers overall.

How is server BPS different from workstation BPS?

The security components are the same. Server BPS adds critical Windows services monitoring and system up/down status monitoring. Server patching also includes manual driver and firmware updates performed by OXEN engineers on an as-needed basis, with dedicated maintenance windows when required.

Is there an additional cost for the SIEM?

Yes. The cloud-native SIEM is required for Business Protection services and is a separate line item priced by data consumption. Standard data sources include Microsoft 365, servers, and your edge firewall. Additional connectors can be added at extra cost.

Do we need Microsoft 365 for server BPS?

Yes. BPS requires Microsoft Exchange Online for email security and anti-spam, and Microsoft 365 Security Defaults for MFA enforcement.

What's NOT included?

Service Desk and Technical Engineer labor for non-security issues is not included. Additional SIEM connectors and custom integrations may be at additional cost.
