OXEN Technology is looking for a Sales Development Representative whose primary job is to land new client business by promoting our IT Solutions and Services in our Southwest Missouri / Southeast Kansas markets.
We’ve been an established IT company since 1985, weathering the ups and downs of the evolving technology industry. Below is an overview of an opportunity we are seeking to fill.
Essential Job Duties
- Prospecting for new clients in Joplin, Missouri area
- Account management skills as the territory has 50+ active accounts
- Working with our local team growing client revenue.
- Working collaboratively with local Technical Account Manager (TAM), Client Care, and Inside Sales teams to ensure we provide the highest level of sales and customer service to our clients and prospects
- Networking with individuals and groups to promote OXEN and win new client business
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven track record of successful selling to small to mid-sized businesses
- Know how to leverage your existing networking contacts to develop new business
- A proven ability to create and foster positive relationships
- A basic understanding of IT networks
- Comfort with learning and using computer technology terms
- Exceptional time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to present and tell a great story to individuals and small groups
- Managed IT services understanding is a plus
- Highly motivated to win and a “go-getter”
- Embraces the challenge of hitting (and exceeding) personal and professional goals
- Prospecting both by phone and in person – and likes the challenge they present
- Coachable, and eager to learn new techniques
- Knowledgeable about closing business sales

Required education and experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with over 3 years outside sales experience in a B2B environment
