From March 24–26, OXEN Technology will be exhibiting at the Kansas Rural Water Association (KRWA) 57th Annual Conference & Exhibition. This marks our first year participating as an exhibitor at this statewide event.
With approximately 2,300 attendees from across Kansas the KRWA conference brings together a broad cross-section of professionals who support our state’s water and wastewater systems. While operators and managers are key participants, the event is also designed for rural water district managers, city council members, governing boards, clerks and administrative staff, industry and agency officials, sanitarians, plumbers, and anyone with an interest in water, wastewater, and community programs.
Water and wastewater systems are facing increased regulatory scrutiny, aging infrastructure, cybersecurity risks, insurance and compliance requirements, and ongoing budget and staffing challenges. Rural utilities are being asked to modernize and secure systems that were never originally built for today’s digital threat landscape.
This conference is not just about equipment or operations. It’s about resilience, sustainability, and long-term community protection.
As an exhibitor, OXEN’s goal is to engage directly with Kansas water and wastewater leaders, share practical cybersecurity insights, and provide guidance tailored to rural and municipal organizations.
Technology now touches SCADA and operational systems, administrative networks, email and financial systems, backup and disaster recovery, and regulatory documentation. Protecting both operational and administrative environments requires a thoughtful, right-sized approach.
We invite conference attendees to stop by the OXEN booth to discuss practical cybersecurity strategies for rural utilities, IT modernization without overwhelming budgets, risk management for governing boards, cyber insurance alignment, and protecting operational and administrative systems.
