August 24, 1995. It was the day personal computing changed forever.
Every year on September 28, National Good Neighbor Day reminds us that strong communities are built through connection, kindness, and a willingness to help one another. The observance encourages individuals, businesses, and organizations to strengthen relationships with those around them and make a positive impact close to home.
At OXEN Technology, being a good neighbor isn't something we celebrate jsut one day a year. It's part of who we are.
When most people think of a good neighbor, they think of someone they can count on; someone who is there when needed, offers support during difficult times, and helps others succeed. Those same qualities guide how OXEN serves its clients and communities every day.
For nearly four decades, OXEN has worked alongside organizations across the Midwest, helping businesses, schools, municipalities, healthcare providers, nonprofits, and community organizations navigate an increasingly complex technology landscape. We believe technology should empower organizations, not create barriers, and we're committed to being a trusted partner that helps our clients thrive.
Being a good neighbor means showing up and getting involved.
Throughout the year, OXEN participates in community events, chamber activities, educational initiatives, conferences, and local business programs that help strengthen the regions we serve. Most recently, OXEN celebrated the expansion of its Joplin office with dual ribbon-cutting ceremonies alongside the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce and Webb City Chamber of Commerce; a reflection of the company's continued investment in Southwest Missouri and commitment to local partnerships. This event brought together community leaders, local organizations, and business partners to celebrate growth, collaboration, and shared success.
For OXEN, community engagement goes beyond physical locations. It means building relationships, supporting local organizations, and contributing to the long-term success of the communities where our clients and employees live and work.
Today, technology plays a critical role in nearly every organization. When cybersecurity threats, outages, or technology challenges disrupt operations, the impact can be felt throughout an entire community.
That why OXEN takes its role seriously.
Whether it's helping a school protect student information, assisting a city government in securing critical services, supporting local businesses strengthening an organization's cybersecurity posture or Managed IT through solutions like Managed Detection & Response (MDR), CTEM, Security Awareness Training, and compliance consulting, our goal is always the sameL helping organizations remain resilient, productive, and secure.
OXEN believes that when local organizations succeed, communities become stronger.
At the heart of every good neighborhood is trust.
The strongest relationships are built over time through consistency, communication, and a genuine commitment to helping others. OXEN strives to bring that same mindset to every client interaction. We work to become a trusted advisor; one that helps organizations make informed decisions, reduce risk, and prepare for the future.
Whether we're providing strategic guidance, implementing cybersecurity protections, or helping clients plan for growth, we're committed to being a partner organizations can rely on.
National Good Neighbor Day reminds us that small actions can create a lasting impact. A friendly conversation, a helping hand, a shared resource, or a commitment to supporting those around us all contribute to stronger communities.
At OXEN, we believe the same principle applies in business.
Being a good neighbor means:
As we celebrate National Good Neighbor Day, we're grateful for the clients, partners, community organizations, and team members who allow us to be part of something bigger than technology.
From all of us at OXEN Technology, thank you for being part of our community. Together, we're building stronger, safer, and more connected communities, one relationship at a time.
Strong. Simple. Trusted
