What is OneDrive for Business?

If your organization uses Office 365, then you have OneDrive. But you may not be using it. Office 365 plans for business – Office 365 Business, Office 365 Business Premium, and Office 365 Business Essentials – all include OneDrive. OneDrive is Microsoft’s cloud service that stores and protects your files, lets you share them with other people, and access them from anywhere, on any device. If you’re familiar with Dropbox or eFolder, OneDrive is a similar type of cloud storage service. When you use OneDrive with an account provided by your company or school, it's sometimes called OneDrive for Business.…

AutoSave Feature in Office 365

The AutoSave feature in Microsoft Office 365 behaves differently than people may expect. This feature has changed somewhat recently. With Microsoft’s AutoSave feature, any changes made to a document in OneDrive or SharePoint are automatically saved and the original document is lost. However, it is still possible to recover previous versions of the document using version history. For example, if you wish to retrieve the original version of a document in OneDrive, you can view it on OneDrive's website where the "history" icon is…

Potential Impact of New and Forthcoming U.S. Tariffs

OXEN Technology has recently been asked about the potential impact of new and forthcoming U.S. tariffs on pricing for hardware. Here is what OXEN Technology is aware of so far: There is potential for large price impacts (with little to no warning) if vendors manufacture in or use components manufactured in countries affected by U.S. tariffs, such as China. There are no timelines, expected impact amounts, or firm announcements from any manufacturers yet on the tariffs. The tariffs are not expected to affect all manufacturers…

Are you ready to take a proactive approach to security for your organization? You can improve your “human firewall” with security education, dark web assessment, phishing tests, and more for your employees! Ransomware is an epidemic for small to midsize businesses, and email phishing scams continue to be the attack vector of choice for cybercriminals.
